NATO CapEval 2020 - Typhoon Deployment

In early March 2020 the RAF's operational capabilities were evaluated by a large team of NATO assessors at RAF Leeming. Typhoons from RAF Lossimouth & RAF Coningsby were stationed at Leeming for the assessment and some weeks in prior for final practice & dry runs.

I enjoyed a few days working in the mobile office at the fence, though quite a few had none or very little action. Clearly this was partly due to very strong cross winds on many days & also it appeared the assessment did not include flying every day. But that's the nature of photographing at an air station, it's not an airshow, they're not there to entertain us!
